YHDE FILTER PRESS

A filter press is a mechanical solid-liquid separation device used for separating various suspensions (heterogeneous mixtures of liquid and finely divided solids). It is one of the oldest types of filters and is still the preferred equipment for solid-liquid separation in various industries today.

There are several types of filter presses, including plate and Frame filter presses, Chamber filter presses, Membrane filter presses, and Stainless steel filter presses, all of which are intermittent pressure filtration devices. The filter plates are compressed by a compression device, and the suspension is then pumped into the filter chamber and separated by the filter cloth to achieve the purpose of separating solid particles and liquid materials. Other solid-liquid separation equipment includes Belt filter presses, Screw presses, Centrifuges, etc., which are continuous filtration devices, but the moisture content of the processed materials is higher than that of filter presses.

The filter press has a simple structure, good separation effect, easy to use, and a wide range of applications. It is widely used in coal washing, inorganic salts, mining, alcohol, petroleum, chemical, printing and dyeing, metallurgy, pharmaceuticals, food, textiles, papermaking, and wastewater treatment industries, among others.

Manufacturing and Processing Technology of Filter Press

Our company has a long history and rich experience in design and manufacturing. 1. Frame: The frame consists of a base, a pressing plate, a stop plate, and a main beam.

    1.1 The filter press frame has the advantages of corrosion resistance, high hardness, high tensile strength, and good impact resistance. It has undergone super pressure testing and can ensure safe and stable use.

    1.2 It can meet the requirements for the use of high-pressure filter plates.

2. Hydraulic system

    2.1 The hydraulic system adopts an open structure, and the entire process is assembled in a dust-free and constant temperature workshop. It ensures the safety and reliability of the entire hydraulic system and is easy to maintain and repair.

    2.2 The hydraulic components of the automatic pressure maintaining system and the main control valve are made of well-known brands. The filter press is easy to operate, flexible in operation, safe and reliable, and can run without failure for three years, without any leakage.

    2.3 The hydraulic cylinder is made of 27SiMn seamless steel pipe, and all accuracy reaches IT8 level.

    2.4 The piston rod is made of the latest technology and has the advantages of high hardness, good wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and long service life.

    2.5 The sealing ring is made of the most advanced tetrafluorocopper material and can operate normally for three years without replacement, ensuring the sealing and flexibility of the hydraulic cylinder.

3. Automatic Plate Pulling System

    3.1 The plate pulling system adopts our company's latest technology, which can effectively reduce the complexity of the original hydraulic system's directional switching and power conversion, thereby reducing the failure rate of the hydraulic system, improving the stability and work efficiency of the equipment.

    3.2 The automatic plate pulling motor uses a low-energy-consumption and small-power variable-frequency speed-regulating motor, which is energy-saving and environmentally friendly. By increasing the transmission torque through a reduction motor, the variable-frequency motor has a wide speed-regulating range and can be adjusted arbitrarily between 10HZ-50HZ.

    3.3 The variable-frequency motor can automatically detect the motor's current and running speed during operation. When the plate pulling machine is driven by the variable-frequency motor, the frequency converter automatically detects the overload signal of the variable-frequency motor and controls the variable-frequency motor to change the rotation direction to complete the automatic plate pulling process. The running torque of the variable-frequency motor can be set by itself according to the operating resistance of the filter plate.

    3.4 The plate pulling machine and slide way are equipped with a closed protective device to ensure the cleanliness and flexibility of the plate pulling system.

4.  Filter plates: Diaphragm, box-type filter plates

    4.1 Our company's filter plate is made of pure TPE\PP elastic polypropylene, and the filter plate is pure white throughout. The filter plate has the elasticity of rubber filter plate, as well as the toughness, rigidity, acid resistance, and corrosion resistance of reinforced polypropylene filter plate. It is processed by CNC machining center, and the flatness of the filter plate reaches below 25um, ensuring good sealing performance when the filter plate is pressed and no liquid leakage during feeding.

    4.2 The structural dimensions of the filter plates produced by our company not only comply with the Chinese JB/T4333.3-2005 standard, but also comply with the German DIN7129 standard and are completely compatible with European and American products.

    4.3 Compared with ordinary filter plates, the filtration speed is increased by 18%; the density, strength, fatigue resistance, and aging resistance are doubled, and its service life can reach more than 10 years.

    4.4 The maximum feed pressure of the filter plate is 1.6/0.6Mpa. It has good anti-corrosion sealing, short filtration cycle, good flushing effect, and low moisture content of the filter cake.

5. Electrical control system 

    5.1 The control part adopts the concept of system design and adds automatic operation detection function. According to the actual working conditions of the filter press, the control part has three working states: a. manual working state during installation and debugging; b. automatic working state during automatic operation; c. maintenance working state during equipment maintenance, in order to facilitate the operator's use. In order to prevent incorrect operation, there is action interlock function for protection during automatic operation. Through automatic detection by the system, if there is an exception, an alarm will be immediately displayed on the screen. To ensure the safety and reliability of the filter press.

    5.2 The PLC core control component adopts products from Schneider, Siemens, etc., and reserves DCS remote interface. Functions include: automatic pressure tightening and release, automatic high-pressure unloading, automatic pressure maintenance, automatic pressure supplement, automatic feeding, automatic pressure unloading, automatic cake unloading, automatic plate pulling, automatic plate taking, pause and other full-process control. It can be controlled automatically by program or operated manually. According to user requirements, light curtain protection program can also be installed.

6. Filter cloth

    6.1 In order to achieve the best filtering effect and speed, it is necessary to select the appropriate filter cloth based on the particle size, density, viscosity, chemical composition and filtration process conditions of the material.

    6.2 Our company's filter cloth production line provides users with various types of filter cloth suitable for their needs. We also have filter cloth testing equipment to provide users with free material filtration tests to accurately select the appropriate filter cloth.

OPTIONAL MACHINE EQUIPMENT
  • PLATE SHIFTING SYSTEM
    YHDE automatic plate shifting system uses hydraulic braking, chain transmission, synchronous translation, and chain pulling manipulators. The plate shifting system consists of a motor, hydraulic motor, plate shifting trolley, chain wheel, chain, and other components. Controlled by a relay, the motor drives the hydraulic motor, which pulls the left and right plate shifting trolleys through the chain to complete the plate shifting process. This plate shifting system uses intelligent control and performs the actions of slow, fast, and slow when shifting the plate, which not only improves the efficiency of plate shifting but also protects the filter plate.

    Due to the heavy weight of a single filter plate of a large filter press, it is inconvenient and requires a lot of work for workers to open the plates and unload the filter cakes. The speed of plate shifting can be controlled according to the proficiency of the operator. This system not only greatly improves the working efficiency of the filter press but also effectively reduces the labor intensity of workers, thereby reducing labor costs.

  • AUTOMATIC DRIP TRAY SYSTEM
    The YHDE Automatic Drip Tray System is a liquid collecting device installed below the filter plate of a filter press. When the filter press is feeding, any leaked liquid underneath the filter plate will be collected by the automatic drip tray and drained to both sides of the filter press before flowing into the centralized pool. The automatic drip tray operates without human supervision and can work in conjunction with other automated systems.
  • FILTER CAKE WASHING

    There are several methods for washing the filter cake of a filter press. Here are some of them:

    Forward Crossflow Washing: In this method, the washing liquid is introduced into the filter press from the upper corner of the filter plates, while the washed filtrate is discharged from the lower corner. This causes the washing liquid to flow through the filter cake in a crossflow manner, effectively washing the cake and removing impurities.

    Reverse Crossflow Washing: This method is similar to the forward crossflow washing, except that the washing liquid is introduced from the lower corner and the washed filtrate is discharged from the upper corner. The washing liquid flows through the filter cake in the opposite direction, providing thorough cleaning and removing any remaining impurities.

    Mixed Crossflow Washing: As the name suggests, this method combines both forward and reverse crossflow washing techniques in alternating cycles. This ensures comprehensive and efficient cleaning of the filter cake.

    The organization and optimization of these filter cake washing methods may vary depending on the specific conditions and process requirements.

  • AUTOMATIC PACKAGE PLATE SHIFTING SYSTEM

    YHDE Automatic Package Plate Shifting System uses a chain drive to open multiple filter plates in sections . This system opens multiple filter plates at once, greatly improving the filtration efficiency as well as discharge speed. As the driving chains on the transmission and opening device successively open the filter plates, the filter cake falls off by its own weight and is transported away by the conveyor below.

    YHDE Automatic Package Plate Shifting System can open 3-30 filter plates at once, reducing the discharge time by 30%-70% and greatly improving production capacity and work efficiency while effectively reducing labor costs.

  • MUD STORAGE HOPPER

    After the filtration process of the filter press is completed, the filter cake, other particles, and solids can be discharged into the matching mud storage hopper. This facilitates centralized one-time unloading and transportation, thus improving work efficiency. The size and various functions of the hopper can be customized according to the model of the filter press and customer requirements, meeting the usage scenarios of various industries and stages.

  • EFFICIENT DEEP CONE THICKENER

  • AUTOMATIC FILTER CLOTH CLEANING DEVICE
    The Automatic Filter Cloth Cleaning System (New Automatic Washing System) is a device developed by YHDE for cleaning the filter cloth, which is installed above the filter press. The device consists of a movable cleaning frame, movable cleaning rods, and a high-pressure cleaning pump. The cleaning process is carried out after the material discharge is completed and is generally performed once every few cycles. The filter cloth is subjected to multi-dimensional cleaning and smoothing using high-pressure water and brush cleaning nozzles. The new automatic washing system ensures the filtration effect of the filter cloth, prolongs its service life, improves the filtration efficiency, and reduces the use and labor costs.
  • FILTER CLOTH TENSIONING, VIBRATION AND DISCHARGE DEVICE

    The filter cloth tensioning, vibration and discharge device uses a zigzag linkage mechanism installed on both sides of the upper middle part of the filter plate. The filter cloth is connected to the zigzag linkage mechanism through connecting rods, springs, hooks, etc. During the unloading process, as the filter plate is pulled apart, the filter cloth vibrates in the zigzag mechanism due to the stretching of the spring, helping the cake to peel off the filter cloth.

  • REVERSE AIR BLOWING SYSTEM / FILTER CAKE DRYING AND DEWATERING SYSTEM

    YHDE offers YHDE Reverse Air Blowing System / YHDE Filter Cake Drying and Dewatering System. These systems comprise an air compression system, compressed air storage system, and management system. Compressed air is stored in a tank after being compressed by an air compressor, and then delivered to the filter press through a pipeline.

    YHDE Reverse Air Blowing System and YHDE Filter Cake Drying and Dewatering System can be selected separately or together, and share the same air compressor and storage tank to minimize costs.

  • SCREW CONVEYOR

    The working principle of the screw conveyor is achieved by the rotating spiral blades pushing the material forward.  The force that prevents the material from rotating with the screw conveyor blades is the weight of the material itself and the frictional resistance between the material and the casing of the screw conveyor.

    YHDE screw conveyors can transport materials horizontally, inclined, or vertically, and can also be customized in different sizes and shapes according to requirements.  They have the advantages of simple design, compact structure, small cross-sectional area, good sealing performance, easy operation, easy maintenance, and convenient closed transportation, occupying less space and with low maintenance costs, which can save costs for enterprises.

  • BELT CONVEYOR

    The belt conveyor of features a simple structure, easy maintenance, stable conveying, large conveying capacity, standardized components, and high conveying efficiency. It is optimized and designed based on the working characteristics of the filter press. It can be arranged horizontally or inclined, and a single or multiple belt conveyors can be used in series according to the user's process requirements to form a complete material conveying system.

  • HYDRAULIC POWER UNITS

    The hydraulic power unit of the filter press is also called a hydraulic pump station or oil station, which is mainly composed of a hydraulic pump, a driving motor, an oil tank, a directional valve, a throttle valve, an overflow valve, and other hydraulic source devices or hydraulic devices including control valves. The hydraulic power pump station is a pump station that provides hydraulic power in the hydraulic system. It uses hydraulic oil as the medium, and the medium that meets the required flow rate and pressure is sent out by the pump (vane pump, gear pump, rotary pump, plunger pump, etc.) through the original power (electric motor or other power) to supply the hydraulic system.
