1.Physical Cleaning: This is a method of cleaning membranes based on mechanical principles. It includes high-pressure water jet cleaning, implosion and explosion cleaning, ultrasonic cleaning, dry ice cleaning, and laser cleaning. In water treatment, the commonly used physical cleaning methods are hydraulic cleaning, ultrasonic cleaning, and gas pulse cleaning. The characteristics of physical cleaning are that it does not change the molecular structure of pollutants, does not cause environmental pollution, causes little harm to workers' health, does not significantly alter the interaction between pollutants and the membrane surface, and does not change the membrane structure or weaken its performance.
2.Chemical Cleaning: This is cleaning that utilizes the reactive capacity of chemical agents. This method is characterized by rapid reaction and strong action. Chemical agents easily distribute evenly over all cleaning surfaces, making it suitable for cleaning objects with complex shapes without creating hard-to-reach dead spots. However, the discharge of waste liquid from chemical cleaning can pollute the environment, so chemical cleaning must be equipped with wastewater treatment equipment; improper handling of chemical agents can also have adverse effects on workers' health and safety.
