1.Incorrect Torque:

If the torque load on the tightening bolts is incorrect, the fluid impact force at the bottom of the module will push the guide discs and O-rings towards the inlet flange. This can cause the O-rings on the guide discs to dislodge from their original position, allowing feed flow to enter the permeate channel. The system will shut down due to high permeate conductivity.

2.Pressure on the Permeate Discharge Line:

When the system is shut down, there must be no pressure on the permeate (clean water) side. If pressure develops, it can cause the membrane to separate from the O-rings or the membrane to be punctured by the protrusions on the distribution plate. This will result in increased product water flow and decreased water quality.

3.Vacuum in the Feed or Concentrate Line:

A vacuum in the feed or concentrate line can cause damage similar to that caused by pressure on the permeate line. Improper flushing before the first start-up after maintenance. After maintenance, the system must be flushed before start-up, primarily to remove air from the modules. The flushing time depends on the number of modules and must ensure no air remains inside them. Sometimes automatic flushing cannot complete, and the equipment must be operated manually. If the user cannot perform this procedure, they should seek guidance from a service engineer. Otherwise, the user bears all consequences.
